Jodrell Bank
For the past 75 years, Jodrell Bank has been looking up to the skies trying to unravel the mystery of our university. Now, Jodrell Bank is a global landmark of scientific discovery and home to the development of radio astronomy. Not bad eh?
Jodrell Bank is usually symbolised by the Lovell Telescope – named after the site’s founder. It is still one of the largest radio telescopes and the inspiration and foundation for their latest rebrand, conducted by Johnson Banks.

This new rebrand aimed to showcase Jodrell Bank’s influential contribution to science, culture and heritage.
Jodrell Bank inspires a lifetime’s journey with science, where new memories are created, new scientific futures begin, and the wonders of the universe unravelled.
Discover below the design process undertaken by Johnson Banks and final, out of these world results.
